Elegant Eating - The perfect name for a most wonderful and memorable experience. My daughter surprised me with an Elegant Eating cooking class gift for her and I to attend. We decided, after considering all of the wide variety of cooking classes offered, to attend the New York Steakhouse one. I must tell you, as a reviewer/critic in the hospitality industry, I was more than impressed from beginning to end. Upon entering, we were greeted by the owners, offered delicious appetizers and fresh lemonade and entertained in a stunning, beautifully decorated dining room. We then went to the kitchen area, which was spotless, where Myra ( owner and head chef for very good reasons ) and her chefs visually and verbally showed us how we were going to prepare each part of the menu. We then broke up into groups whereby each group had to prepare that particular part of the dinner. We were then asked to return to the lovely, I mean lovely, dining room where we were served, course by course, the dinner we had all prepared. The presentation of each course was picture perfect. It was fun, a great learning experience and delicious! I am thrilled to have experienced this with my daughter as it adds to our legacy of beautiful memories. I am definitely a returning customer and I will also be buying birthday and Christmas Elegant Eating cooking class gift certificates for family and friends. This is an excellent gift idea. I highly recommend Elegant Eating! Thank you to my daughter for surprising me with such a perfect, unique gift and to Neil and Myra for being the designers of this wonderful idea.

Neil and Myra have been handling all our catering items since about 1988. The started in their earlier small store and included regular Friday Night Dinners. I know the date as the first catering was for my daughters Bat Mitzvah. This followed with my Son's Bar Mitzvah, some major Birthdays, High Holidays, returns from funerals and Passover. We moved from Stony Brook to Great Neck and could find good but not great local places.
Obviously we are always happy with the arrangements.

Our staff were raving all day about what an amazing evening they had (and the moms and the one husband) last night at our class and dinner. Thank you for so much for having us. We all truly enjoyed ourselves, learned new and excellent things, and ate a phenomenal meal! Some of the ladies are already planning to attend future classes with you! And we will certainly do the same. Thank you for taking such great care of our "family" on our special night out with you. It was a wonderful and memorable evening. Delicious!

The shower was a huge success. Food was phenomenal, my guests were so impressed! Linda and Roberto were great. I really felt like a guest at my own party. I had some guests with gluten allergies, and Linda couldn't have been more accommodating. Neil, the food suggestions you made were perfect, right down to the mini ice cream sodas. I am already planning another party for my birthday and will want Linda and Roberto. I can't thank you enough for such a wonderful catering event. See you soon.

Hi To All,
I wanted to thank everybody for an amazing Thanksgiving Dinner! Besides making my life easier, it was by far the best turkey ever! Absolutely delicious, my family kept trying to guess what brand it could possible be! Either way it was more the preparation I'm sure!

We just wanted to let you know that everything your people cooked up (from the clams casino to couscous to the chicken wellington to all the great desserts) was simply delicious, with one thing tasting even better than the next. Delicious fare, well presented.

I just wanted to thank you and let you know how wonderful everything turned out for my mom's surprise party. Everything I hoped for came to fruition. The food was fantastic, the presentation was to match. Linda and Luis were by far the best servers we have ever had and we used to entertain a lot. Your suggestion on the terrine was perfect - I have cravings for that every day!

Once again, our guests spent an evening in our home praising every item eaten and asking who catered the event. Elegant Eating, Myra, and every staff member contributed to THE BEST of everything. They are all wonderful, warm, experienced professionals. I was a guest at my surprise party for my husband's birthday because Gary and Judy did everything and then some. Candles were lit, drinks were served, every dish displayed beautifully, cold food cold, hot food hot, etc. etc. etc.

I want to thank you for helping make my goddess party a tremendous success.
From start to finish the process was warm, friendly, intelligent and expert.
First visiting you at your Smithtown location, I felt absorbed into a wonderful world. Given eggplant appetizer, and fruit cup I was taken. The tour of the kitchen and garden sent my heart soaring. Seeing how you both are still so innocent in a fast paced world such as catering is encouraging and inspiring.
The day of the party went exactly according to plan. The display of food was enchanting. The taste delicious.And through your expert guidance in menu selection, it was just the right amount.
And now for the support staff at the party, Linda and Gary. I felt like I had two angels surrounding me. Always there when needed, and always going above and beyond. Kaneez was a wonderful presence as well.

My son's graduation party was wonderful! The food was delicious, I got so many compliments and the staff was so professional. They were attentive to all of the guests and did a great job with setting up, serving and cleaning up. I gave your name out to many people and look forward to using you again.
The food was talked about the next day. The nacho shooters were a big hit, the lobster rolls were the best we have ever had - so many big chunks of lobster meat! We took the leftovers to the ocean the next day!! What a treat! The watermelon and goat cheese canapes were so refreshing. Everyone loved the ice cream soda floats and chocolate chip cookies and milk, and the fruit cups all went quickly! I thought I would have a lot of leftovers, but I had 20 kids stay into the night and they polished off the rest! Sliders and pulled pork were a hit!! And although I didn't taste them, I overheard someone say that it was the best grilled cheese he ever had! I didn't know you could do that with grilled cheese.
Also, the tent company you recommended were very professional. The tents were beautiful and everyone commented on how pretty they were.
Thank you for such a wonderful job. It was so nice to relax and enjoy my guests and put it all in the staff's hands, and especially nice to come into a cleaned kitchen!!
